OCTA Mission & Goals

OCTA Mission:      

OCTA strives to enhance relationships between Ohio-based institutional testing centers, exam vendors, other state and national testing associations, and higher education officials in Ohio to promote standards of excellence and guidelines for professionalism related to the delivery of test administration services within student and community populations in Ohio.

OCTA Goals:

  1. Enhance professional testing practices and guidelines
  2. Provide opportunities for professional development
  3. Provide professional support and networking opportunities
  4. Advance collaborative efforts among testing professionals, testing companies, and leverage existing consortiums and partnerships for the benefit of OCTA membership
  5. Leverage OCTA activities and membership to strengthen NCTA membership and participation
  6. Reach, develop, and positively impact OCTA membership in a practical and economic manner, reducing travel/conference expenses and allowing greater engagement and participation in OCTA and NCTA experience
